Introduction
Learn with your kid and help them to enjoy doing activities and learning while having fun.
Every day I will post another lesson containing a craft, educational lesson, occasionally a song or rhyme to help you remember with what we are learning, a couple of questions, and some kind of movement or activity.
Activity 1: Nature
Craft: Have your kid go outside and collect a couple of fun and interesting leaves, feathers, seeds, etc. Then have your kid trace the items. Have your kid observe, draw, label and play with the items, then put them back outside and add fun things to your picture.
Lesson: Tell your kid about the parts of a flower, the roots, stem, leaves, and flower. Say that the roots get the flower water to drink, the stem brings the water up like a straw, the leaves attract sun light, and the flower is the part of the plant that blooms and gives off pollen.
Talk Together: Ask your kid what the four parts of a plant are and ask them what kind of plants they can name { A tree is a plant }.
Movement: Cut out green, brown, yellow, and orange shapes such as a square, circle, oval, etc. Then hide the shapes around your house and tell your kid to find them. Ask them to tell you what color and shape it is. The colored shapes represent leaves.
