Activity 3
Activity 3: Weather and Seasons
Craft: Use beads, cardboard, and other things that make noise, then punch holes in the materials and tie yarn so that all the things are tied together. Then hang it outside { If there is no place to hang it then you be the wind and dangle it around.} Now you just made your own wind chime! Watch as your kid listens to the sound of the wind blowing against the wind chime.
Lesson: Tell your kid the four seasons, summer, winter, fall, and spring. Then tell them what type of weather it usually is during that season.
summer - sunny and hot, winter - cold, cloudy, and [snowy], fall - windy and cloudy, and spring - sunny and rainy.
Also ask your kid by looking outside what they think the season and weather is.
Talk Together: What is your favorite season? What is your favorite type of weather? Can you think of anything else that happens during those seasons?
Activity: Go outside and give your kid seashells, rocks, sand, and water. Put all that stuff in a bucket if you do not have a sand table. Pretend you are at the beach. Have your kid experiment and play with the stuff making sand castles, making designs in the sand, etc.
