Activity 12: Lots of Shapes

Craft: Find little things around your house such as a flat bead or penny. Next put the piece of paper over the object and color on top.  You should have a picture of the item on the paper. Then label the shapes, oval, square, or triangle.

Lesson: Say all of the shapes you can think of like circles, oval, rectangle, etc.       Then try to make a song out of it like to " Mary Had A Little Lamb" or "Twinkle Twinkle" and finally ask them to write or draw them out on paper as you sing the song slowly.

Talk Together: Ask your kid what their favorite shape is. What shape do you think is mostly in your house?

Activity: Draw a funny and swirly shape and then give it a name like crazy shapes or triangle-funshape. Make a couple and choose your favorite one.   Try to make it by using something outside such as water, pebbles, grass, etc.
