Review of Nature

Craft: Find a part of a plant in your backyard then tape it to a piece of paper. Next label whatever you chose in your back or front yard whether it is a stem, root, or a rock.

Lesson: A weed is anything that is growing where you do not want it to. A plant is anything that has the four main parts, the roots, stem, leaves, and flower or fruit. A rock is not a living thing but a weed and plant are. Tell your kid one of these definitions at a time with the answer then see if your kid can say the word or answer after you have said the definition.

Talk Together: Is the sun a star or something else? What is your favorite part of nature? Why? 

Activity: Hide about five things around your house in the wrong places. Then have your kid go and look for the misplaced items. Ask your kid what the items in the wrong places were kind of like in nature.

Answer: Weeds, because they grow in places you do not want them to.
