Activity 6

Activity 6: Stars

Craft: Practice drawing stars on a sheet of paper, then color them in and see what cool designs you can make with the stars.

Lesson: Tell your kid that the sun is a star. Also ask your kid when they usually see stars. Then tell them that stars are made of fire, encourage them to color some of the stars blue, green, red, and orange because up close some stars are that color. The blue and green stars are the hottest and the yellow, orange, and red are the less hot ones of course those are still very hot!

Talk Together: What are stars made of? What would you want a star to be made out of?

Movement: Usually a star has 5 points, do 10 jumping jacks and every time you open into the star shape say" star."  Then try to think of other fun exercises that make a star outline or shape.

Song or Rhyme: Sing "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star,"then if you have any instruments play them while singing  the song.
