Activity 4: Water Forms
Craft: Take a piece of paper and draw an outdoor scene then take bluish paint and drip it on the paper. Let it dry. Now you have a pretty rainy picture to keep!
Lesson: Rain comes from the clouds so does hail and snow. You have probably seen rain and maybe hail or snow. Describe what hail and snow is. Every snowflake has a different pattern. We drink water, in fact we have water everywhere! There is more water than land, 3x more water than land.
Talk Together: What is your favorite form of water, hail, snow, or rain? When do you use water?
Activity: Take a cup and put water in it [ you can use an ice tray.] Then freeze it for about 1 hour. Now let your kid play with the ice, you can also turn the ice back into water by pouring hot water over it.
Movement: Have fun making cool snowflakes, then pretend that it is snowing by throwing them at each other. Then use blocks to make a snow fort if you do not have blocks hide behind a wall. Crumble up some paper and try to knock down the other people's forts while throwing the paper snowballs at each player.
